The IAU SDG3 cluster on Health and Wellbeing, Universities for Good Health, is an open network comprised of seven higher education institutions across five continents including Western Sydney University in Australia, Makerere University in Uganda, Universidad de Caldas in Colombia, Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia, Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, University College Dublin in Ireland and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in Spain.

Spearheaded by the UOC’s eHealth Center in Barcelona, and a part of the Global Cluster on Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development (HESD) hosted by the International Association of Universities, it champions higher education and promotes an integrated approach to health, in support of equity and wellbeing worldwide in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda.

Report of Key Findings

IAU SDG3 Cluster 2024 Networking and Knowledge Sharing Cycle

In 2024, the SDG3 cluster has been exploring how member universities are supporting staff and
students to foment good mental health, good practices and learnings, and how to equip students
with the mindset, knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the current polycrisis environment.
This report will summarise some of the learnings from this exploration and examples of good practice.
